It's our feeling that main-stream poetry publications tend to over-edit, over-sterilize, and over-produce their authors in an effort to reach the widest audience possible and maximize profits. Proletariat Press is not interested in this. We like our authors like we like our poetry: raw and uncut.
But when it really comes down to it our only goal is to publish great writing and great chapbooks, that's all. It's our hope that Proletariat Press readers will have this same mind set and will purchase our books not only because they believe in the work we publish but believe that there ought to exist an alternative to the sterilized literature that main-stream publishing houses churn out.
